Event: Networking Dinner at G.A.S. Lagos

In Collaboration with Frieze

On April 16th, 2026 G.A.S. Lagos hosted a networking dinner supported by Frieze, a leading global contemporary art organization, recognized for its art fairs, publications and digital presence. Conceived to place Frieze in dialogue with Lagos, the gathering also introduced guests to the work of G.A.S. Foundation, creating space for exchange across local and international contexts.

The night opened with a champagne reception in the courtyard, where guests mingled before taking their seats. Alayo Akingkube VIP consultant for Frieze began the programme with remarks on Frieze’s global activities and its upcoming art fair in Los Angeles, encouraging applications from gallerists, while inviting collectors to engage more deeply with the platform. This was followed by Moni Aisida, who shared an overview of the Foundation’s mission, programmes, and the community sustaining its work, acknowledging supporters present in the room.

Guests were served a thoughtfully curated menu by Chef Atim, who spoke to the inspirations behind each dish. Conversations carried through the night, leaving a strong sense of the importance of sustaining spaces that nurture artistic growth and cultural exchange across the continent.
